Export terminals at Thunder Bay and the Canadian West Coast were Northland Superior's prime customers until the late 1990's, when new construction of scores of inland terminals across the Canadian Prairies required new and sophisticated grain cleaning systems. We have provided the lion's share of the systems and equipments for these terminals, and have established ourselves as the supplier of choice for Canadian grain companies.
Northland Superior was acquired in 2004 by Crippen Manufacturing Company.
Crippen Northland Superior, the Canadian marketing arm of Crippen Manufacturing Company, is built upon the systems, equipment, and facilities experience of several grain processing equipment companies dating back to the early 1900's. The company is located in Winnipeg Manitoba, the center of the Canadian grain industry, and the northern gateway to the US Great Plains.
Crippen Northland Superior has an office and warehouse in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Manufacturing is done at the Crippen Manufacturing Company located in St. Louis, Michigan. The Crippen Manufacturing Company has a 40,000 square foot fabrication and assembly facility. This facility has CNC plasma cutting equipment, forming and fabrication capability, assembly, and painting capability. Overhead cranes service the entire shop.
